| The Wolnik family left Florida in the summer of 1966. Emil worked as as contract engineer and they moved several times. They lived in Rochester, New York, for one year. They moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a few months, then Urbana, Illinois for a few months. After that, Loretta got tired of moving, so they bought a new house in Palatine, Illinois and lived in nearby Lake Zurich for a couple of months until the house was completed in late 1968. |
