Renee, Shelly, Ginger, Kathy in front of the school in the movie "The Birds"
|
This year, the Sisters went to Bodega Bay and stayed at the Inn at the Tides. The theme of this trip was The Birds. All the sisters read the short story by Daphne du Maurier and we watched the movie by Alfred Hitchcock on the first night. We visited the local locations shown in the movie and also hiked some local, scenic trails. Renee provided two different gifts to everyone, a "Scrabble" t-shirt that spelled everyone's name, and water bottles with photos from previous years! |

In the early afternoon, Ginger and Kathy arrived in Ginger's car, Renee and Shelly in Renee's car.
Ginger and Shelly shared one room, Kathy and Renee shared the other.
We hung out at the Inn for awhile, then did a late afternoon hike to the Horseshoe Cove Overlook.
In the evening, we ordered pizza for dinner and watched the movie The Birds in one of the rooms.

We had our complimentary, full breakfast at The Tides Restaurant,
then drove to the nearby town of Bodega to see more locations from the movie The Birds.
Ginger and Renee had a quick lunch at Spud Point Crab Company.
We went on an afternoon hike on the Bodega Head Nature Trail.
We soaked in the hot tub and swam in the pool, then had dinner at
Bay View Restaurant, an Italian restaurant at our hotel.
That evening we all watched the movie Psycho.
