POST Audrey Edna Alpine Cabin Hike, November 30, 2022

Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) sponsored a hike to the Audrey Edna Alpine Cabin. Ginger and Karen met the group at the Mindego Gateway parking lot at Russian Ridge, then caravaned to this private property off Alpine Road. POST purchased it in 2012 and will eventually sell it to San Mateo parks department. The cabin was used as a safe staging area for fighting the 2020 CZU fire in the Santa Cruz mountains. We had lunch at the cabin and enjoyed real flush toilets!
