Dear Mr./Mrs. Wolnik:

Thank you for using Kodak Processing Labs for your photographic
services.  Your processing order contained negatives which were 
cut short.

Today's photo industry utilizes modernized splicing equipment
which allows pressure to determine when and where each roll is 
to be spliced.  This action is performed inside the equipment 
and it is difficult for the technician to determine if the roll 
was cut short at the time of splicing or if the roll was cut short 
at the time of manufacturing.  We have checked our equipment and 
unfortunately your missing frames were not located.

We realize that nothing could entirely replace your missing frames;
however, as a gesture of goodwill and genuine concern, we sincerely
hope the enclosed FREE FILM AND PROCESSING CERTIFICATE will allow 
you to take pictures of equal importance.
