Emil and Loretta Wolnik built their first house at 78 Broadway, Des Plaines, Illinois, in 1956. A TV repair shop was in the front. Upstairs was a 3 bedroom, one bath apartment. Downstairs behind the store was a 3 room apartment for Loretta's mother, Marie Cook.
