Karen and Ginger

 

Ginger and Karen visited Colorado to see Ginger's sister Shelly, who now lives in Denver. Ginger's cousin Kathy from Chicago joined us. Ginger, Karen and Kathy spent four days touring the mountains and riding on the famous Durango-Silverton Train. We arrived Saturday afternoon and Shelly drove us to her house for dinner. We visited the Denver Botanic Gardens (Botanic Photos), the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (Nature and Science Photos) and the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys (Doll Museum Photos). On Monday, we drove to Durango, Colorado. Monday Photos On Tuesday, we rode the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Train Photos On Wednesday, we drove to Ouray, known as the Switzerland of America! Wednesday Photos On Thursday morning, we visited Box Canyon and downtown Ouray. Ouray Photos We drove back to Denver on Thursday afternoon, travelling through Mesa Country of western Colorado.
