Train Photos, August 9, 2011

On Tuesday, we rode the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We reserved Presidential Class tickets months before and rode in the Cinco Animas car, in the Observation Parlor Room. Our car had a private attendant who served us complementary drinks and sweet rolls. She narrated the ride and alerted us to the best photo opportunities. Because we were at the back of the long train, it was quiet and not as smoky as the cheaper cars toward the front of this authentic, coal fired steam train.
